Derek Hough is a member of the smoothie club.

Millions of Americans each week enjoy watching the breathtaking performances on Dancing with the Stars. In addition to the countless hours that the professionals and celebrities invest in rehearsals, many of them are trying new experiences with proper nutrition. Many of the contestants follow the same Freshology diet plan that was used by Dancing with the Stars participants like Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough. The meal delivery service offered by Freshology provides convenience that fits into participants’ busy schedules, as well as calorie-controlled meals that improve stamina and energy.

When he is not working on Dancing with the Stars you know what Derek likes to consume for energy from time to time? I think I see a smoothie in his hands

If you’re following this or any season of Dancing With the Stars, you’ve probably noticed the dancers’ amazingly toned and strong bodies in their sexy and revealing costumes. If you’re wondering how they stay fit and lean, and have all the energy in the world perhaps they have a secret Dancing With the Stars Smoothie?

Well as of this posting I have heard of one so far and I’m fairly sure  that NONE of the dancers are drinking this exact recipe although if you know anyone at DWS, PLEASE, be kind enough to forward this on so they can enjoy the benefits and taste of this amazing combination I came up with.

Just imagine how you’ll feel not matter what dance in life you’re doing each day do, if you consumed one of my Signature Blends each day

  • Put In The Following  Order In Your  Container:

  • 1 Banana or Avocado, I prefer Avo’s!
  •  16 oz  Organic Hemp Milk or Almond Milk
  • 1- 2 Scoops Raw Cacao Nibs or Sweet Cacao Nibs
  • 1 Scoop Red Organic Maca
  • 1 Scoop Chia Seeds
  • 1 Cap Full Sun Warrior Liquid Light
  • 1 Scoop “Perfect Acai” Berry
  • 1 Scoop of Sun Warrior, Warrior Blend Raw Vegan Protein Powder
  • 1 Cup of Ice
  • 2 Scoops Raw Cashew Butter, make your own here
  • Dash of Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Manuka Honey 16+ or more

[/fusion_old_tab]

[fusion_old_tab id=2]

Start on low 1-2 on your manual Setting For 10-12 Seconds, COUNT THEM! Then turn your 2 HP  (Horse Power)+ machine on high until you have your own perfect blend and texture. Usually about 45 seconds or more should do it. Sometimes I do a whole minute or longer as the Cacao Nibs take a bit of blending to release their healing and energy building properties.

What did you feel like after drinking  this Signature Super Food Blend? I personally went out and ran across America with Forest Gump after I had my first glass.

The Benefits of My Signature Blend Are To Many To List: And I will…!

Avocado

Avocados have a long list of potential health benefits. For example, besides its anti-inflammatory properties, previous research from Japan suggests this powerful fruit may also help protect against liver damage. In one study,4laboratory rats were fed avocado and 22 other fruits. The rats were then given D-galactosamine, a potent liver toxin that interferes with cell synthesis and results in cell death. The rats fed avocado suffered the least amount of liver damage. The chemical-induced liver injuries resemble those caused by viruses, so the researchers suggested avocado could potentially offer support in the treatment of viral hepatitis. According to one lead author Hirokazu Kawagishi, Ph.D:

“Besides offering taste and nutrition, avocados seem to improve liver health. People should eat more of them.”

Due to its beneficial raw fat content, avocado enables your body to more efficiently absorb fat-soluble nutrients (such as alpha- and beta-carotene and lutein) in other foods eaten in conjunction. One 2005 study,5 found that adding avocado to salad allowed the volunteers to absorb three to five times more carotenoids antioxidant molecules, which help protect your body against free radical damage. Other research has found that avocados:

  • Contain compounds that appear to inhibit and destroy oral cancer cells
  • Can help improve lipid profiles in both healthy individuals and those with non optimized HDL/ total cholesterol levels). In one study,8 healthy individuals saw a 16 percent decrease of serum total cholesterol level following a one-week long diet high in monounsaturated fat from avocados. In those with elevated cholesterol levels, the avocado diet resulted in a 17 percent decrease of serum total cholesterol, and a 22 percent decrease of both LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides, along with an 11 percent increase of the so-called “good” HDL cholesterol.

Healthworks Cacao Nibs  Even Better For You Than Eating Dark Chocolate

Magnesium: Cacao beans are one of the best dietary sources of magnesium — a mineral needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in our bodies — with 272 milligrams per 100 grams. It’s important for muscle and nerve function and keeps the heart rhythm steady.

Fibre: You don’t get any dietary fibre when you eat a chocolate bar, but you do get some when you snack on cacao nibs: one ounce has nine grams!

Iron: Iron, which is necessary for red blood cell production, is found in cacao nibs. An ounce of the raw nibs has six per cent of yourrecommended daily iron intake.

Antioxidants: Surely you’ve heard about the antioxidant power of dark chocolate — well, that goes even more for cacao beans, especially when eaten raw. Antioxidants are important for health because they absorb the free radicals that cause damage in the body.

Mood Improver: Neurotransmitters are the messengers in our brains that tell our bodies how to act, and that includes mood. Cacao’s ability to act on those neurotransmitters is why it’s known for its mood-enhancing skills. Chocolate and cacao stimulates the brain to release particular neurotransmitters that can trigger emotions — including good ones like euphoria. That’s why some people say chocolate is better than sex!

Phenylethylamine (PEA): This is a chemical found in cacao, one that our bodies also make naturally. We produce PEA, an adrenal-related chemical, when we’re excited — it causes the pulse to quicken, making us feel focused and alert.

Anandamide: Anandamide, a lipid found in cacao, is another compound tied to cacao’s feel-good properties. This lipid has been called “the bliss molecule”, because its natural molecular shape represents that of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

Theobromine: Cacao beans do have a couple of controversial ingredients, though. One of them is theobromine, which makes up one to two per cent of the cacao bean and is a nervous system stimulant that dilates the blood vessels — much like caffeine. This ingredient is what makes cacao and chocolate unsafe for dogs, and some people find that it affects them the way caffeine might.

Oxalic Acid: Oxalic acid is a compound found in cacao that inhibits the absorption of calcium, a mineral that’s also found in the food. So though there is calcium in cacao, it’s not considered a good calcium source for this reason. The good news is that you’re getting more of the calcium by eating cacao than you are if you eat processed chocolate, because the sugar found in chocolate takes calcium reserves from the body.

Other foods also contain oxalic acid, including rhubarb stalks, black pepper, and poppy seeds.
