Here is a delicious, nutritious and protein packed anytime drink.
This smoothie is loaded with, protein, branch chain amino acids from the FORM protein, and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the bananas and cacao. You can easily tweak this recipe to accommodate your nutritional goals.
Serves: 1-2
Ingredients
1/2 banana
1 cup fresh coconut water
1-2 scoop organic seed based protein powder (FORM) is my favorite
1 Tbsp raw cacao powder
1 handful raw cashew or macadamia nuts (8 nuts or so)
1 handful mint
2 cups ice
Optional
Handful of Organic Spinach, Instead of Coconut Water Use Organic Almond, Coconut or Hempseed Milk. You could also add: 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 3 pitted dates if you want it a bit sweeter
Method of Blend
Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
Select Variable 1.
Turn the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 10.
Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required while smoothie is processing.
Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
Stop the machine and serve.
