The Wellness CSI™ Method

Your health was never eleven separate problems.

It has always been one story. Let me show you how the pieces fit.

Most people who arrive here have already been trying.

They have read the books, followed the plans, bought the supplements, tracked the data, and listened to enough expert advice to make choosing breakfast feel like a major life decision.

The problem was never that they did not care.

The problem was that nobody showed them how their sleep, stress, food, movement, relationships, environment, purpose, biology, and everyday decisions were all part of the same conversation.

What if you do not need more information? What if you need a better way to understand the information you already have?

That is where The Wellness CSI™ Method begins.

Great coaching is not about having every answer. It is about helping people feel seen, understood, and empowered to take the next realistic step toward becoming a healthier version of themselves.

Nobody Ever Showed Us This

We've been taught to think about health in separate boxes.

Sleep.
Stress.
Food.
Movement.
Weight.
Blood pressure.
Digestion.
Mood.

Different doctors. Different articles. Different advice. Different solutions.

No wonder people feel overwhelmed.

What if none of those were separate conversations?

The Wellness CSI™ Method

We Don't Start With Answers.

Most wellness programs begin by telling you what to do. I prefer to begin somewhere else. Before we change anything, I want to understand your story. Because every decision you make makes sense once we understand why it made sense in the first place.

1

We Listen

Every investigation begins by listening. Not interrupting. Not assuming. Not fixing. Just becoming genuinely curious about what's been happening in your life.

2

We Investigate

Together we begin connecting clues instead of chasing symptoms. Sleep. Stress. Food. Movement. Relationships. Purpose. Environment. Patterns begin to emerge.

3

We Build

Only then do we decide what deserves your attention first. Not everything. Just the next realistic step that fits your life. That's how lasting change is built.

I've spent nearly five decades studying health, coaching, behavior change, and performance. One thing I've learned is this: The best coaches don't change people's lives by having better answers. They change lives by asking better questions.

Curiosity before prescription. Always.
Nobody Ever Showed Us This

Everything influences everything else.

Your body does not divide your life into neat little categories.

A difficult night changes how you handle stress the next morning. Stress can change what you eat, how quickly you eat, or whether you remember to eat at all.

Food affects energy. Energy influences movement. Movement can influence confidence, sleep, discomfort, and how much patience you have left for the people you love.

Relationships affect stress. Your environment affects your habits. Purpose affects motivation. Your biology influences how you respond to all of it.

Before long, what looked like eleven separate problems begins to look like one connected story.

That does not mean everything needs to be changed.

It means we need to understand which clue deserves our attention first.

We are not trying to fix eight different versions of you. We are learning how one human life works together.

Curiosity Before Criticism

Curiosity changes everything.

Once we understand that everything is connected, the next step is not to judge ourselves. It is to become curious about why our habits, reactions, and choices have made sense.

A person taking a quiet moment outdoors, reflecting with warmth, calm, and self-compassion.

For years, many of us have been taught to ask:

“What is wrong with me?”

What if there is a better question?

What has this behavior been trying to do for me?

What need has it been meeting?

What has it been protecting me from?

Those are very different conversations.

Not every habit is still helping us. But most habits began because, at some point, they solved a problem, created relief, offered comfort, protected our time, or helped us make it through something difficult.

Before we rush to remove the behavior, it helps to understand the job it has been doing.

Every habit has a job. Our first responsibility is not to criticize it. It is to understand it.

If we were sitting across the table…

I will tell you something about myself.

There are nights when I stay up much later than I know I should. Considering how much time I have spent studying sleep and recovery, you would think I might occasionally take my own advice.

Usually, it is not because I do not understand sleep.

It is because I love creating, coaching, learning, solving problems, and building things that I believe may help someone.

One more idea becomes one more hour. Then another. Apparently, my clock and my imagination have not always been on speaking terms.

When I became curious instead of critical, I realized that staying awake was not really about sleep. It was connected to purpose, momentum, and how closely I had tied productivity to my sense of value.

Recovery is not time away from my purpose. It is part of making that purpose sustainable.

That understanding did not make me less passionate.

It helped me make better decisions about how I want to protect the energy that allows me to keep doing work I care about.

Three Better Questions

Before you try to change the habit…

Question One

What has this habit been doing for me?

Question Two

What need has it been meeting?

Question Three

What might become harder if I let it go?

People rarely change because they finally feel judged enough. They begin changing when they feel understood enough to become honest.

Better Questions. Better Choices.

Better questions change the conversation.

Most people have already been told what they should do. What they often have not been given is enough space, curiosity, or support to understand why doing it has been so difficult.

The first answer is rarely the real answer.

Stay curious. Ask one more question.
Someone Says

“I never have enough energy.”

Instead of immediately saying

“You probably need more sleep.”

“When during the day do you usually feel your best?”

Someone Says

“I know what to do. I just don’t do it.”

Instead of immediately saying

“You need more discipline.”

“What usually seems to get in the way?”

Someone Says

“I’ve tried everything.”

Instead of immediately saying

“I’m sure there is something you haven’t tried.”

“What worked—even a little—and what was different then?”

A Conversation, Not a Verdict

Sometimes the most honest answer is, “I don’t know yet.”

I will let you in on a little secret.

Some of the best coaching conversations I have ever had began with me saying, “I do not know yet. Let’s figure it out together.”

People sometimes expect the coach to walk into the room carrying every answer in a very impressive briefcase.

Mine would probably contain a water bottle, three charging cords, and at least one thing I forgot I put in there.

Great coaching is not about performing certainty. It is about creating enough trust and curiosity to discover what matters.

Once we understand why something is happening, the next realistic step usually becomes much easier to see.

One better question can change a conversation. One better conversation can change a decision. And one better decision, repeated often enough, can change a life.

The Wellness CSI™ Journey

Here's what progress actually looks like.

Progress doesn't begin by changing everything. It begins by understanding yourself a little better today than yesterday.

01

Recognize

"I finally understand what I've been experiencing."

The confusion starts to make sense once you see the pattern for what it is.

02

Become Curious

"Maybe my body has been trying to tell me something."

Curiosity replaces judgment, and that's when real noticing begins.

03

Connect the Dots

"I finally see how everything fits together."

Sleep, stress, food, movement, and purpose stop feeling like separate problems.

04

Take One Realistic Step

"I don't have to change everything. I simply have to begin."

One honest, doable action beats another perfect plan you'll abandon by Tuesday.

Progress isn't built by knowing everything. It's built by understanding what matters today.

Where would you like to go from here?

Some people love learning. Some people enjoy journaling. Some people like community. Some people want a coach. None of those choices is better. They're simply different ways to continue the same journey.

Whatever door you choose next…

Remember… this isn't about becoming perfect. It's about understanding yourself a little better than you did yesterday.

One better question.
One better decision.
One healthier habit.
One conversation.
One clue.

That's how healthier lives are built.

Whenever you're ready… I'll meet you there.
