What If You've Been Looking in the Wrong Place?
So, Like the Rest of Us, You Went Looking.
Already doing an astonishing number of things.
Also doing things nobody bothered to explain.
Sleep. Food. Stress. Movement. Relationships. Recovery.
About what you're supposed to do with all of it.
So Naturally, We Went Looking Everywhere
Your Body Doesn't Live in Little Wellness Boxes.
Your Brain.
Your Actual Life.
And Something Else May Move With It.
And work, finances, travel, illness and the rest of your actual life don't sit politely outside the system either. They're part of the context all eight boxes are responding to.
All Eight Boxes Keep Showing Up to the Same Meeting.
And the meeting is happening inside YOU! That's why looking at one box by itself can give you a perfectly reasonable answer and still miss what's actually going on.
So What Does Understanding This Actually Change?
That doesn't automatically mean you need another lecture about discipline.
Your life changed. Your stress changed. Your sleep changed. Context matters.
You don't need another dramatic Monday morning restart. Monday has enough responsibilities already.
When everything changes at once, good luck figuring out which thing actually mattered.
The plan may be identical. The humans receiving it aren't.
Tuesday counts. Travel counts. Stress counts. The week that went sideways definitely counts.
Good information still matters. So does what happens when you actually use it.
What changed? What keeps showing up? What might help? What should you try next?
I don't want to become another wellness person sitting on your shoulder telling you what to eat, when to sleep, how many steps you're behind, or why apparently everything you enjoy is now inflammatory.
I want you to get better at noticing your own patterns.
You won't always get it right. Neither do I. But you'll know yourself better, ask better questions, and become much harder to send running after every new headline, hack or miracle morning routine.
Your Nervous System Has Been Here the Whole Time.
Imagine a Lion Walked Around the Corner.
Not on Netflix. Not behind glass at the zoo. An actual lion looking at you like you may be today's lunch.
You would not need a motivational podcast to react.
Your brain would detect danger and your stress-response systems would get to work. Heart rate changes. Breathing changes. Fuel becomes available. Attention narrows. Resources are shifted toward dealing with what's happening right now.
Digestion and long-term housekeeping aren't exactly at the top of the agenda.
This is not your body malfunctioning. This is your body being remarkably good at keeping you alive.
Your Body Knows Those Aren't Lions. It Still Has to Deal With Them.
And this is where the word stress gets much bigger than feeling worried or saying somebody is getting on your nerves. Stress can be emotional, physical, nutritional, environmental, metabolic or social. Sometimes several of them show up before lunch.
Brain. Nervous system. Hormones. Immune system. Gut. Metabolism. All communicating while you're busy trying to get through Tuesday.
And Then You Notice The Bottom of the Story.
You're tired. You're hungrier. You're craving things. Your stomach is off. Sleep isn't great. Workouts feel harder. Recovery takes longer. Your patience has apparently left the building.
Maybe the scale moved. Maybe you're doing a surprising number of the “right” things and wondering why you don't feel particularly right.
Food matters. Movement matters. Sleep matters. Stress matters. Digestion matters. Recovery matters. Your nervous system matters. So do your relationships, your work, your environment and the rest of the life happening while you're trying to take care of yourself.
We use words like health, fitness, wellness and longevity to organize all of this. Useful labels. But your body isn't sitting there sorting Tuesday into four neat categories.
It's one human system responding to the life you're actually living.
That's the piece that's easy to miss when we're busy trying to improve one number, fix one symptom, follow one plan or figure out why something that was supposed to work isn't working for us.
Understanding why all of this connects is useful. But you probably didn't come here for a physiology lesson. You came here because you want something to change.
One Idea. Three Different Jobs.
Understanding something and actually living it are not the same thing. So this grew into three different ways of working with the same idea.
The Black Book of Wellness
See why the pieces connect, why context matters and why somebody else's successful wellness plan doesn't automatically become yours.
The 12-Week Sovereignty Program
Work with one protected practice at a time and learn what can survive the week you're actually living.
The Sovereignty Journal
Capture what happens without turning your life into a spreadsheet. No dates. No falling behind. Open the next page and continue.
The Program and Journal are there if you want to keep going. You don't need either one to understand or use what you learn in The Black Book of Wellness.
The goal isn't to become a different person. It's to understand the one you've already got well enough to work with them.
I Was Doing This Work With Real People.
The book came later. These are a few of the people who experienced the work that helped shape it.
By following Ingo's health coaching and nutritional advice over the last two years, I feel the best I have in over 20 years. I now have an appreciation for “real” foods, have developed a knowledge base around food that is easy to implement and get back to; all without a lot of stress.
World Vision Inc.
“I have changed my life and how I approach nutrition, life, and my overall health.”
“I have wanted to get back in this type of shape for over 15 years and couldn't do it. You have given me far more than I could even articulate.”
Marriott International
“Our staff still rave about his training.”
“If you have the chance to experience an event or a breakout session with Ingo be sure that you do. He is phenomenal! Ingo was our featured presenter at our Chopra Center employee training.”
Chopra Center for Wellbeing
Different people. Different goals. Same starting point.
Pay attention to the person before you prescribe the plan.
These testimonials describe individual experiences working directly with Ingo and are not reviews of The Black Book of Wellness. Individual experiences and results vary.
What If the Answer Isn't Another Answer?
Why the pieces you've been taught to look at separately may be telling one much bigger story.
Stop Looking at the Pieces. Start Seeing What Connects Them.
This book isn't asking you to throw away everything you know and start over. It's a way to look at your sleep, food, stress, movement, recovery, relationships, work, finances and the life you're actually living as parts of the same story.
Because sometimes the answer really is food. Sometimes it's sleep. Sometimes it's stress. Sometimes several things have been sitting at the same table while we've been arguing with only one of them.

Read the Book. Then See What Changes.
Nobody handed your mother an owner's manual for you. Your car got one. Your smart TV got one. I'm pretty sure my air fryer did too, although I've never read it.
This isn't a universal instruction manual pretending everybody works the same way. It's a way to understand your own health, your own context and the life all of it has to work inside.
The Book Comes First. It Doesn't Have to Be the Last Step.
The Black Book helps you understand what you're looking at. After you've read it, you'll also find two ways to take that understanding further — one for practicing it and one for noticing what actually happens over time.
The Black Book of Wellness
Understand the ideas, see the larger picture and learn how to start making better sense of your own context.
The Sovereignty Program
Twelve weeks of guided practice built to help you take what you've learned in the book and work with it in the week you're actually living.
One protected practice at a time. Use it. Notice what happens. Adjust when necessary. Keep going without turning one missed day into a federal investigation.
The Sovereignty Journal
A full year of noticing patterns, asking better questions and recording what your own life keeps teaching you.
No dated pages. No falling behind. No journal guilt waiting for you on the nightstand. Open the next spread and continue.
You don't need to decide about either one now. Start with the book. Inside, you'll learn how both continue the work and can decide whether one — or both — belongs in what you do next.
