You have to decide if you want to hit (take another card) or not when playing blackjack. The dealer will then reveal the cards.

Game rules

The game of blackjack is a combination of luck and the ability. The game is played using a standard deck of 52 cards. Cards two through ten are worth their face value, and Aces are counted as either one or eleven (whichever is the one that makes the most winning hand).

Each player is dealt two cards. The dealer holds one card up and one down. The aim is to beat the dealer. This can be accomplished by obtaining a Blackjack (first two cards totaling 21) or by having a higher count, without exceeding 21.

If you want to add an additional bitcoin casino no deposit card to your collection, ask the dealer for another card by raising your hands. This should only be done when you are sure that your hand won’t be over 21.

Blackjack is a card game that requires lots of luck and a bit of skill. To win, players need to be aware of when to hit, stand, split, or double down. There are many betting rules that differ from one variation to another however, the majority of them involve placing a bet on the side of the dealer.

There are many blackjack betting systems that allow players increase their winnings and reduce their losses. Positive progression systems are the most popular and include the Paroli and 1-3-2-6 systems. Other systems, like the D’Alembert system, are negative progression systems which require players to increase their bet sizes in the event of losing, and reduce the size when they win. You can find out more about the betting rules on our blackjack strategy page.

When the dealer shows an ace, players are offered “even-money” for their blackjack. This is actually a form of insurance and pays about half of your initial bet. The dealer will check their hole card. If they have a ten under, you get your original bet back. If not, you forfeit your insurance bet. Insurance is not a good bet even when they offer “even money.” You should never buy insurance, even when the odds are in your favor.

Splitting pairs in blackjack is a defensive strategy which can cut down on losses for those at a disadvantage when the dealer has an upcard that is strong. Splitting pairs of tens or aces is recommended but not pairs of fives or Aces.

It is crucial to know the right time to split and the right time to not split. Certain pair splits have strict and fast rules and should be followed as little as is possible, for instance, splitting triples and twos when the dealer holds a low card.

Other pair splits may be less evident. For example splits of a pair of eights should not be done if the dealer holds a nine or above. This is a risky strategy that can lead to big losses.

Double down

Doubling down is a crucial option for blackjack players because it adds a bit of thrill to the game and boosts the chances of winning. It is essential to understand the rules prior to doubling down. The rules for double-down differ from casino to casino but most of them allow players to increase their initial bet by as much as more than double the initial amount.

If you have an Ace and a card less than 6 and the dealer has 5-6 or 7, it is recommended to double down. Doubling down is a great option if you have a total hand of 11 and the dealer’s up-card is five, six or 7. Doubling down can’t be profitable in all cases but it can boost your odds of beating the dealer.
